God’s Word has stood the test of time. Throughout history, no other book has been more scrutinized than the Bible. Many have attempted to discredit and destroy it but to no avail. The Word of God is eternal and will endure forever.
The Bible contains 66 books made up of a variety of genres. It was compiled over 1,500 years by 40 contributors. It is divided into both the Old and New Testaments, and it was originally written in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. Despite man’s involvement, you cannot deny the fact that the Bible is divinely inspired.
What the Bible Teaches us?
Here are some, but important teachings that we need to consider as we start studying God’s Word.
1. The Bible Teaches us to KNOW God.
God is all over the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. We don’t have an excuse not to know Who our God is because He made sure that He will be known in His Word when He wrote the Bible through His people.
Knowing God is digging deeper into His Word.
2. The Bible Teaches us to WORSHIP God
“for we [who are born-again have been reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, set apart for His purpose and] are the true circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and glory and take pride and exult in Christ Jesus and place no confidence [in what we have or who we are] in the flesh.” -Philippians 3:3 AMP
We are created to worship God.
3. The Bible Teaches us how to LIVE
The Bible has full of instructions on how we can live our life here on earth. A life that is Jesus centered and Spirit-empowered.
“I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” -Galatians 2:20
